Children's ministry

Please welcome our new Children's Ministry Director, Maddie Sparr.
The DCC children’s ministry is all about the kids! We strive to equip children with basic biblical knowledge so they can move forward in life with a solid foundation. Not only are we Bible focused; we also nurture a loving environment, helping kids draw closer in relationship with God through intergenerational ministry opportunities. Join us for Vacation Bible School or weekly Sunday School, knowing your children are well cared for and loved!

Sunday School

During second service, September - May

Sunday School classes are offered after a time of worship at the 10 am service for children from 3 years of age through 5th grade. No Sunday School classes are offered during the first service or when we have only one service.

Preschool through 5th grade meet downstairs in the children’s area. This space has been equipped with age-appropriate classrooms and open space for larger, children’s church meetings. Sunday School classes are staffed by volunteers who have a heart for teaching children about Jesus. Currently, in the Preschool through 3rd grade classrooms we are using Gospel Project, a chronological, Bible based curriculum (https://www.gospelproject.com). The 4th/5th grade classroom is using the Action Bible curriculum

Sunday Nursery

Birth through 2 years of age

The nursery is staffed by church employees and volunteer assistants during the 10 am service only. This area is equipped with age-appropriate toys and parent resources including a changing table. We also offer a Nursing Lounge connected to the nursery. We encourage parents to utilize this unique space.
