A friend of mine placed the following verses from Philippians 4 on Facebook last week. They spoke to my heart greatly at just a moment that I needed them. Perhaps they will speak to you in the way that you need today. “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
Are you carrying extra anxiety during these days? Let it go and rejoice in our resurrection hope. Are you calculating the potential situations that could arise because of our global situation? Don’t be anxious about this situation but make your requests with thanksgiving because he arose and cares for us. We will have amazing opportunities to give witness to our faith during this Season of Lent by how we respond to our global situation. Look for opportunities to extend grace, confidence, and love to the anxious and hopeless around us. Rejoice!!
