‘Tis the season to be jolly… falalalalalalalala!
As we go through life and all of its ups and downs, there are days when we may not feel so jolly, hopeful or peaceful. It’s a process when we are grieving the loss of a loved one or one who is sick and there’s no cure… this is how the “season” is going for us and others you may know. What I am thankful for most days is knowing that my dad is with our Father in Heaven and that Tim’s mom isn’t in any pain from her brain tumor. I’m so thankful that I was able to be with my dad and my mom for six weeks before, during and after his passing. I’m so thankful that Tim is able to be with his mom now in her time of need.
I realize that this is part of life… and death… and I know that God is always with us. He never, ever gives us more than we can handle. He loves us so much to have given us his Son, who was born and lived among us until his death for our sins. Wow! Quite incredible if you think about it! It gives me reason for hope for the future and peace in the present.
My prayer for all of you is that you will always, always, always look to God and lean into him all your days but especially to reflect on his love for us during this holiday season!
May you all have a very Merry Christmas with your loved ones!
JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!
