As we at DCC embark on a new chapter together, three of our core values have risen like cream to the top of the list. They have emerged through surveys, prayer, brainstorming, informal feedback from the congregation (both from individuals and ministry teams), and have been identified, clarified and prioritized by the staff and elders. These values will form the cutting edge of our vision, giving us a new and synergistic focus:

The staff, elders and Prayer Task Force have put together a 21-Day prayer guide that will help us sink our roots into these values through the Word and prayer (as Daniel prayed twenty-one days for wisdom and understanding). Each of us have invested ourselves deeply in this project. We’ve sought God both for scriptures and for insight that will help us unpack the meaning of these values for us as individuals and as a body…so all toge-ther we can pray them deep into our hearts, the hearts of our loved ones, and the heart of our church.

Our goal is that having deepened our roots in these areas, we might begin the process of becoming fruitful like never before! All in preparation for Easter. (Day 21 is Easter Sunday.) This is when we experience and celebrate the resurrected life of Christ, who makes us fruitful from the inside-out. Our prayer is that having prepared ourselves for twenty-one days, this Easter would mark the beginning of a new season of focused fruitfulness and effectiveness in these three areas—as we extend the kingdom from deep within our hearts, through our growing intimacy with God, into the county and beyond!
